Through a curated selection, you will have the opportunity to indulge in an immersive tasting experience, exploring the complexity and depth of flavours that have made these wines revered worldwide.

Jean-Luc has been the Sommelier and Ambassador of Domaines Paul Jaboulet Aîné  for over twenty years, and his name is an evocative one! “When we’re called Chapel, we’re forced to face some references to the Chapel of the Hermitage.”

Originally from Haute-Loire and very attached to his roots, Jean-Luc is also passionate about genealogy, it is thanks to this that his other passion was born: “I was able to trace the history of my family and noticed that my ancestors were all traders, grocers… It’s that side that pushed me in this direction. Also, I touched my first bottle of wine at 6 years old in my parents’ shop!”

Jean-Luc cut his teeth in a star-studded restaurant where he had the opportunity to meet three-Michelin-starred chef Régis Marcon, and his wife Michelle, to whom he credits as the reason he became a sommelier.

Jean-Luc continued on this path, participating in events and contents for a while, but at the age of 33 he decided to join the Suze-la-Rousse Wine University to perfect his knowledge of wine: “I then had the opportunity to experience a very intense internship at Jaboulet, which I joined two years later. My career has given me a very comprehensive view of the wine industry and I must say I am also very attached to the training.”

Upon his arrival at Jaboulet, Jean-Luc took charge of the Vineum in Châteauneuf-sur-Isère: “I also took care of Paris for two years and little by little from Europe until I became ambassador of our domains. I am very attached to this house and then most importantly I have the opportunity to practise an exceptional profession! Sharing emotions with totally different customers and passing them the keys to the tasting is a real pleasure.”
